KP-9 has a hinge block with a quick detach swivel mount and is SBR ready. 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm trunnions have a slightly different angle so even if you drilled it out it wouldn't fit quite right. I have been told that you should always use the “correct” size for what you are doing. While it's possible to modify the hinges and make things fit it almost always leads to problems. ATTENTION! Speaking of magazines, Kalashnikov USA’s U.S.-made 10- and 30-round KR-9 magazines are faithful to the Vityaz pattern. While I don’t believe there’s anything else on the market that’s compatible (e.g. MP5, Scorpion, etc mags don’t work), Vityaz mags can be found in a handful of versions at low prices, and I had zero issues whatsoever with KUSA’s magazines.
