Nov 4, 2021 · TreeNet is a research and monitoring network that collects and processes data from point dendrometers and air and soil microclimate sensors to generate high temporal resolution datasets of tree growth and water dynamics in Switzerland. The data are used for scientific investigations and near real-time indicators of forest performance and drought stress, covering a wide range of temperate forest species and environmental conditions. Historic (culturally significant) trees, streetscapes and avenues form significant landscape features and have a large impact on the landscape, both visually and environmentally.
